Autumn Style: Essential Shirts

Wear 'em now, wear 'em forever

Here we go people, it's getting real. The first week of Autumn is in the books and October 1st is days away, which, if we're being honest, is when the season really feels like it starts right? I've already written plenty about my affinity for this time of year in the first installment of the "Autumn Style" series, so I'll get straight to the topic at hand, shirts!

More specifically, the shirts I view as essential pieces in an autumnal wardrobe. These shirts button up, these shirts typically have button closure pockets, these shirts do not have side pockets to slide your hands into. That would make them shirt-jackets and today we are not talking about shirt-jackets. Don't you worry, I appreciate a "shacket" as much as any red-blooded American man obsessed with apparel and their time in the spotlight will come, but not just yet.
