A few weeks back I hopped on a flight to Copenhagen to meet up with my friends from Volvo and spend a couple of days driving the refreshed XC90 models that’ll soon be going on sale here in the states. I’ll be sharing my thoughts on Volvo’s fan favorite SUV in a separate post in the coming weeks, but for now I want to hit ya’ll with some intel on “the Four C’s”: carbs, clothes, coffee and cocktails.

I’d been to Copenhagen once before this recent trip, but only for one night so I didn’t have time do much exploring, just opted to take a friend’s recommendation on where to grab dinner and a drink. When I set out on a borrowed bicycle from my hotel(essential in CPH) I somewhat recalled the layout of the city, but for the most part I was seeing everything with fresh eyes. Since it was mid-morning when I arrived I chose a coffee shop as my first destination and planned the rest of the day from there while enjoying a cortado and cardamom bun. Armed with the little bit of “research”(saving places on Instagram and GoogleMaps) that I’d done ahead of the trip, I set out to cruise around the city, here’s what I found to be noteworthy from that day and the few that followed it.
